Wallet Guide

Your New Wallet
In a very digital world, this wallet is designed to be your analogue copilot. Your backup in the physical world that can be customized ad infinitum, to you and your adventure.
This guide is here to show you all the little details of what this wallet can do. After all, the best EDC is what you have on you, and that makes a daily wallet the ultimate everyday carry.
Use as little or as much of it as you like. Above all, have fun.
First of All, Smell That Leather
This wallet is designed to last.
Our wallets are made from only the best, high end, full grain leather from Italy. This vegetable tanned leather from the Badalassi Carlo tannery in Tuscany takes 30-35 days to tan, which ensures a rich depth of colour and longevity superior to other leathers and materials.
Premium leather may feel tight and firm on first use, but as you break it in, it will loosen and naturally conform to you and your use of it, developing a unique feel and rich patina over time.
This wallet is hand made in the Spanish town of Ubrique, which has crafted its leather pedigree not over years, but centuries.

Functions and Included Accessories
Outer Shell

Outer EDC Slots
The EDC slots are designed to fit a range of accessories, from single keys, combs and multitools to all 58mm alox versions of the Swiss Army Knife, and many more! If your EDC is less than 25mm in width, 75mm in height and not too much thicker than 6mm you should have a good fit.
To remove accessories, open the wallet again and slide it sideways to free it from under the ‘A’ shape lip, then pull it out for use.
To put it back in again, open the wallet out to loosen it, then slide the tool in the slot and secure it under the ‘A’ shape at the top if possible, which helps it stay secure.
Eyelet for Carabiner or Chain
Visible above the back EDC slot there is also an eyelet loop to secure your wallet to a chain or keyring should you wish to. It has a 4mm diameter, which works with small carabiners such as a Nite-Ize.

Fast Card Slots
The outer fast card slots are designed for your most used cards and speedy access. You can either slide them fully out with your thumb, or stop and hold with a finger once the card is exposed to make a wireless payment or tap.
RFID Blockers
The wallet also comes with 2 ultra thin carbon fiber RFID blockers that can be used here. These are designed for RFID protection, but are more for useability by allowing for different use cases:
- If you place one behind each fast card this blocks them completely and covers the majority of the wallet, as they work even behind the card.
- But, if you want to keep a card unblocked because you want to use it whilst still in the wallet (tap pay, access cards, metro tap in, car, hotel keycard) you can remove the RFID blocker from the slot and do so. (GIF) You can then use the card to only block half of the wallet, or not at all.
Selective RFID Blocking
Shield only what you want
Keep selected cards tap-accessible
Customise how your wallet behaves
Inner Wallet (Open)

Rear + Left Card Slot
The left slot fits a few spare cards or a compatible tracker.
Behind the cash, there are 2 secret card slots that fit several spare cards, a thicker multitool card, tracker or even lockpick set.
You can also use these for receipts. See what fits best and balances your wallet most.
The Coin Pouch
For coins or small items like a guitar pick or larger memory cards. Odd-shaped items work well in here too, such as an Apple AirTag or Yubikey.
Underneath the pouch flap is a hidden slot for a SIM pin tool, but also fits safety pins, SIM cards and micro SD cards. I always find new uses for the SIM pin tool, from cleaning earbuds and nails to resetting electronics.

Tiny Tin / USB Holster
This can be for the tiny tin provided, but is also compatible with the metal dual USB-C drives of the type shown.
This is the tiniest production tin on the market, and has many possible uses, from:
- Mints (e.g. 9 smints)
- Micro SD memory cards (up to 7)
- SIM cards (up to 20 nano SIMs)
- Medication and tablets
- Lip balm or solid state perfume
- Micro survival/med kit – plasters, fishing tackle, sewing kit
Pen Holster
Fits the provided bolt-action titanium mini pen.
It also fits any other pen, mini screwdriver or cylindrical EDC like a pick or metal straw with a diameter around 5mm and length under 90mm.
The wallet comes with spare ink, plus is replaceable with any standard D1 refill.
ID Slot
For ID display and can take up to 2 cards plus an RFID blocker.
The RFID blocker can also be used here if you wish to block your ID or cards here from being visible.
The ID slot deliberately does not have a plastic sleeve for longevity of the wallet, as that is usually one of the first parts to fail.
Cash Compartment
For cash, receipts, paper tickets and boarding passes.
Even while mostly digital and cashless, I still carry emergency cash day to day, and multiple currencies when travelling. There’s peace of mind in knowing if your phone is lost, you have your wallet, and vice versa.
To better access your cash and put any back in, place a thumb on the pen and pull it back to open it.
Safety and Security
Flying
- Whilst all the accessories and EDC that come with the wallet as standard are intended to be flight safe, certain accessories may not be permitted in carry-on luggage depending on local regulations.
- Sometimes security like the TSA in America use their own discretion if something is safe. I have flown with the wallet many times without issue, and once or twice just asked to explain what the multitool or pen is.
- Obviously, ensure you do not take any sharps or dangerous articles in the wallet if going through security. Pack anything like that in your hold luggage.

Premium Leather Care
Built to Age Well
With its vegetable tanned, full grain leather, your AeMech Wallet is designed to develop its character over time.
Natural leather evolves with use and may develop:
- Patina
- Creases
- Texture changes
- Darkening in high-contact areas
These are signs of genuine leather ageing beautifully.

Daily Care
To maximise longevity:
- Avoid overstuffing the wallet
- Keep away from prolonged moisture
- Avoid leaving in direct sunlight or extreme heat
- Store in a cool, dry place when not in use
- If you discover any loose threads, gently snip them off with a sharp scissor
